When Does it End?
How often do we stop and hold our heads in our hands and ask the Lord, "When is it going to end?" You get up on your soap box and you tell the Lord how you have prayed and praised and thanked, how you have been obedient to his Word, given extra at the donation box,
ministered to others, had faith, and just about everything else the Bible tells us we have to do in order to please him. When the answer doesn't manifest when we think it should the way we think it should, we tend to get angry, frustrated and anxious.
There are a few different reasons...but today I am going to deal with just one. Works without faith. I know some of you are saying...I thought is
was "Faith without works?", When we go through all of the routines for the simple purpose of gaining an answer and still don't see our answer after we have gone through them, we have the nerve to get angry with God.
Sometimes it ends way before we see the physical manifestation of our answer. It ends when you learn to trust in Him, when you are content knowing that you have given the situation to Him, left it at the foot of the cross, trust He will handle it and have faith He will give you what it is your heart desires. Trusting in something we can not see is a hard obstacle to overcome, especially after you live your whole life according to the "I need to see it to believe it" theory. The very foundation of our walk with God is based on faith, without it, everything else is useless. You can say you believe, you can do all of the things that are required of you in scripture, but when your focus is still on the problem and not on The Lord your
contradicting yourself. You are not making Him the love of your life...and that is what he wants from you. He wants you to love Him more than your spouse, more than your money, more than your material things. When He is the main priority in your life...everything else seems less troublesome.
After all, you have the Creator as your very best friend.
The worst of your situation will end when you truly trust that the Lord is working on your behalf. When you have peace knowing this then you know you have trust. How can any of us say we trust God yet we go through each day worrying about the outcome of the requests we have made...that is not trust, when you are
truly seeking the Lords face and His presence in your life the trust comes natural. You no longer deal with those feelings of despair day in and day out, you know that the Creator is handing the situation. When you believe that God really can do the impossible you start to see amazing changes in your life.
Don't be afraid to ask Him to help you trust in Him. He will.
