Still In Preparation
God will never give you a vision that you can fulfill alone. He'll bring
others along side to compensate for your weaknesses. When He told Moses He
was sending him to speak to Pharaoh, Moses said, "I am not eloquent .
. . I
am slow of speech . . . " (Ex 4:10) Have you ever tried explaining to
God
why you couldn't do something He had already decided you could do?
When God gives you a vision, He'll give you the right plan, the right
people, and the right schedule. He gave Joshua to Moses to be his personal
assistant; He also gave him Aaron and Hur to hold up his hands; and Jethro
his father-in-law who saved him from a leader's most dreaded fate - death
by
administration. (Ex 18:24-26) Finally, He gave him 70 leaders who'd caught
his spirit and would enable him to complete the work. (Num 11:16,17) God
may
not always give you what you want or what you expect, but He will always
give you what you need, if you'll only trust Him!
Nineteen years ago when I moved to Georgia and my office was in my garage,
God gave me Liz Hill. She came as a volunteer and worked without wages.
Even
though she's now in her 70s, she can still do the work of two people half
her age. She's walked with me through the biggest storms of my life and
become an indispensable part of my ministry team. I may plant the seed,
but
it takes Liz, Tommy, Susan and Farrah, my faithful staff, to water it,
fertilize it, protect it and help gather in the harvest. You can't do it
alone, so don't even try.
